Is the Duffel Box waterproof?
No. It's weatherproof, not submersible, and built for rain, dust, road spray, wet tailgates and normal travel conditions. If your gear is going into the water or needs true waterproof protection, choose the RUX Waterproof Duffel Box.
What does "Plus" mean?
The Plus version comes with the straps included, so it's ready to carry out of the box.
Can the 55L be used as a carry-on?
Yes, in Burrito Mode, where the bag rolls down around the load for a tighter travel profile. Airline size limits vary, so always check with your carrier before you travel.
Should I choose the 55L or 75L?
Choose the 55L for two to four days of kit and carry-on capable travel. The 75L suits longer trips, bulkier gear or one load shared between two people.
What's the difference between Box Mode and Burrito Mode?
Box Mode closes the segmented roll-top over the top of the bag for quick access throughout the day. Burrito Mode rolls the top down the sides and buckles it low for a tighter, more compact load.
Which RUX duffel should I buy?
Pick by what the trip does to the bag. The standard Duffel Box is the lightest and built for weather, the Waterproof Duffel Box is built for water and dust, and the MultiCam Duffel Box is built for hard wear.
Will my existing RUX pockets and panels fit?
Yes. The internal soft rails work across the RUX system, so compatible Bags, Pockets, Organizer Panels and Packing Cubes can move between Gear Boxes, Totes and Duffel Boxes.
How is the Duffel Box different from a Gear Box?
Both share the same wide-mouth approach. Gear Boxes are rigid and stackable for gear that lives packed at home or in the vehicle. Duffel Boxes are soft and built to carry, taking that same organisation on the road.
What happens if something breaks?
The Duffel Box is backed by the RUX Lifetime Guarantee. If a replaceable part fails, contact us and we'll help get it sorted. Buckles, straps, snaps and other serviceable parts can be replaced so the bag stays in use.
